Notes

2010-03-31 - Identified through on-line information from Robert Holland. -- This replaced Aeolian-Skinner Opus 1468 from the 1960s. Due to Hurrican Katrina, in 2005, the organ sustained severe damage and was rendered unplayable. A. E. Schleuter of Atlanta, Ga. built a brand new 83 rank 4 manual organ in the chapel, using much of the Aeolian-Skinner pipework. About half of the original pipework was retained. The new organ has a number of high pressure reeds, including a Tromba Heroique, English Tuba, and Trompette en Chamade. I had the privilege of playing the new organ in the summer of 2009 and it really sounds nice!! -Database Manager
