2012-05-18 - Updated through online information from Ron Yeater. -- This Casavant project was something of a stopgap; the original Hook & Hastings chests and action were retained. in 1937 the Wicks company rebuilt the entire organ with Direct-Electric action, retaining the Casavant drawknob console. There were only minor tonal changes. In 1974 the Temple moved to a new building in Birmingham, Mich with a new Wicks organ, leaving behind the old Temple and organ. -Database Manager
2021-02-27 - The congregation moved in 1973 to a landmark building in Bloomfield Township and the Woodward Ave. building was sold to Breakers Covenant Church, which became Bethel Community Transformation Center. The sanctuary seats 1,600. -Jeff Scofield
