Notes

2016-09-19 - This is a rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by Stephen Hall, based on information learned from a conversation with Marvin Schurke. This organ was purchased by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Olympia, Washington. It was incorporated into their existing organ (Balcom and Vaughan - Opus 526B, 1981) by Michael Gardner, as his Opus 5 beginning in 1993 and completed in 1995. 2022-05-01 - Originally installed in 1902 as 3-manual 50-stop Hook & Hastings Op. 1957; rebuilt and enlarged in 1922 as Casavant 4/42 Op. 935; rebuild and slight tonal changes in 1935 by Wicks as 4/41 Op. 1336, retaining the Casavant console; new Wicks console in 1961. -Jeff Scofield

2024-12-26 - This building was new in 1922 when Casavant installed that instrument. The Hook & Hastings of 1902 was for an earlier building and obviously did not exist in this building in its original form. Whether Casavant re-used any portion of the Hook & Hastings is unknown to me. -William Worden
