2010-10-07 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Acording to the owner's website, this organ was originally built for the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in St. Louis, Missouri. It was "Fuga Deluxe" model having a real 16' Bourdon extension rather than the 16' free-reed extension. The church started-out in a home. It relocated with the organ to proper church buildings twice: once in the 1950's and again in the 1970's. It was during the latter move tha the original case and the 16' Bourdon pipes were lost. Mr. Cartwright acquired the organ at the age of 16. In a period of 24 hours, he flew to St. Louis, rented a 15' Ryder van, loaded the organ in 4 hours, drove to Highland, IL, to tour the Wicks factory, and continued home to Greenville, Alabama. The organ was installed in his parent's home as is without tonal or mechanical changes. But later, a used Moller 8' Salicional bass was added to the 4' string, and a Pilcher 8' Vox Humana was added. -Database Manager
