2011-11-15 - Identified through online information from William Dunklin. -- In the late 1920's Loew's built 5 grand theatres in the New York area billed as "Wonder Theatres." Each of those 5 halls had a nearly identical 4/23 Robert Morton "Wonder Organ." This organ was installed in 1929 at the Loew's Paradise. It was sold and removed from the theatre c. 1974. In 1997 it was purchased and relocated to the Loew's Jersey in Jersey City NJ, where it has been restored and is in use. The Jersey, another of the so called Wonder Theatres, had lost its original organ in the early 1970's. There is not an organ in the Paradise at this time. -Database Manager
