St. John's Ev. Luth. Church 1997 Wicks/1927 Wangerin Moved from old church on the corner of Jefferson Ave and L St to the new A-frame structure on the corner of Jefferson Ave and Myrtle St in 1974. Wind chests were re-leathered at this time. The entire instrument is enclosed and expressive, with one chamber on the west side of the balcony with the original console (detached) on the east (opposite) side of the balcony. In 1997, the instrument was renovated with digital voices and a 4' Principal (great) added. Rank B is much darker in appearance than Rank E. It is suspected that all ranks are electro-pneumatic except Rank E, which is likely direct-electric. One pedal controls the entire instrument's expression, and there is also a crescendo pedal. There are 5 general pistons, a full organ piston, and a "cancel" piston, duplicated with toe studs, on 3 levels of memory. [Received from Sam Wessel 2012-01-06.]
