2013-01-23 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Carl Schwartz, using information found in Michael Friesen. -- The sources of information regarding this organ are: Henry Erben & Son, Manufacturers of Church Organs (New York: T. C. Nottage, 1880), 13. Provided by Michael Friesen MacGregor, Morris, J.; A Parish for the Federal City – St. Patrick-s in Washington 1794-1994, Washington, D.C., 1994, The Catholic University of America Press. <br>The organ was built for the 1809/1816 St. Patrick's Church and moved to Carroll Hall. It is not known if it was installed in the present church. According to unsubstantiated tradition it was relocated c. 1895 to the original Sacred Heart Parish structure, 16th Street, fate unknown. -Database Manager
