Notes

2013-02-02 - This is a rebuild of an existing organ. Identified by T. Daniel Hancock, using information found in Brown, Matthew Michael. CD: "Collage: The Parkey/Schantz Organ." First United Methodist Church, Salisbury, NC, 2009. -- Parkey rebuild included replacing reeds, revoicing of flues, as Phil Parkey writes in the CD jacket, "In its original execution, the organ's tone suffered from serious blandness. Flutes were voiced in the same style as strings, and principals were kept on the anemic side of richness. Many weeks ensued as we voiced and re-voiced stops for optimal color and blend. Foundations were bolstered as mixtures were reigned in." -Database Manager

2024-08-30 - I am the Director of Music Ministry and Organist. This instrument is no longer extant and is being replaced with a Rodgers Infinity 489 digital organ. Information received online from Joshua Starnes on 2024-08-28 -Paul R. Marchesano
