Notes

2013-05-26 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by John Speller, using information found in Journal of the Annual Convention of the Protestant Episcopal Church of the Diocese of Michigan, 1846, p. 32. -- The Journal notes that the organ cost $165, of which the congregation paid $65 and "the rest was given by four or five gentlemen of the city of New York." An additional $17 was expended on organ tuning. The church, organized in 1837, was renamed All Saints Episcopal Church, Pontiac, in 1904. -Database Manager
