Notes

2018-08-14 - Updated by William M. Worden, who gave this as the source of the information: I know the history of the building.<br>\r\nThis is almost certainly First English Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3627 Mount Elliott, Detroit, MI 48207. The church was built in 1908 and was sold in 1957 to an African American congregation, St. James Baptist, which used it until 1992. It was sold again in 2001, but only used briefly and closed and abandoned in 2005. It was demolished as abandoned and dangerous in August, 2018. Photos taken of the interior in 2006 during its abandonment, when theft and stripping were already well underway, show no signs whatever of an organ. -Database Manager
