The renovation was done by Ericksen, Christian and Associates of Chicago, IL.
The renovated organ addressed electrical and tonal deficiencies of the 1923
Möller Organ. All electro-pneumatic action was converted to MIDI digital
technology, which corrected the dead notes and corroded wires. Tonal improvements
were made in all areas. The 32’ Resultant, 8’ Gedeckt, 16’ Contre Trompette,
8’ Trompette, 4’ Clarion, were new additions to the pedal stops. The
4’ and 2’ Principal, 1’ Sharp Mixture III, 16’ Contre Trompette, and 8’ Trompette
were all new stops added to the Swell division. The Mixture III and Trompette 8’
were new additions to the Great division. On all keyboards, divisional and general
pistons were added as well as 100 MIDI digital memory levels. The organ renovations
allowed for a wider variety of organ literature and variations in hymn playing.
