2013-11-12 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in David Junchen's <em>The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, an Illustrated History</em>, p. 676. -- Style D-X, 2 manuals, 6 ranks and percussions in 2 chambers. This theatre was built in 1914. It was purchased by the Schine Theatre Circuit in 1926 at which time the Wurlitzer was installed. In later years, the organ was reportedly moved to a theatre in Geneva New York and subsequently into storage. The organ's current status is unknown. Over the years, the Grand Theatre was also known as the Malone Theatre and lastly as the Schine Theatre. It and was torn down in 1971. -Database Manager
