2014-02-22 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in David Junchen The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, an Illustrated History, p.662. -- Opus 1362 was a Style B-X. Style B was the smallest stock design that Wurlitzer produced that included a horseshoe console. Its four ranks were Flute, String, Vox Humana and Trumpet. There was also a complete set of pitched and un-pitched percussions. The 'X' indicates that this was one of 7 style B organs which was installed in 2 chambers. The Style B was one of Wurlitzer's most popular models with 228 produced. Opus 1362 is reported to have been moved to a private residence in Glenside Pennsylvania. Current status unknown. -Database Manager
