Notes

2014-03-28 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by William Dunklin, using information found in David Junchen The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ, an Illustrated History, p.664. -- The surviving records are not clear regarding this organ's size or design. It is described as a 3 manual style E, 7 ranks in one source, but another source gives it as 11 ranks. The organ was removed from the Garrick Theatre before the building was torn down in the 1950s. The organ reportedly moved to a succession of residential installations before being broken up for parts. -Database Manager
