2014-07-29 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Scot Huntington, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- The parish was founded in 1962, and the present building consecrated in 1966. The unit organ is free standing with functionally exposed pipework, sited at floor level on the gospel side of the altar. The console is on the epistle side, facing the choir pews. Given the choice of a reed stop or having the instrument placed in a swell box enclosure for the same price, the church opted for the reed stop. On-site tonal finishing by Louis Rothenburger. -Database Manager
