Notes

2015-07-04 - Organ relocated without any change. Identified by James R. Stettner, based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- The original Kimball was built as a 2-manual, 7-rank instrument for the Olympic (later, Woodland) Theatre in Seattle. In 1931, it was moved to the Trianon Ballroom n Seattle. In 1946, Balcom and Vaughan enlarged the organ to 3 manuals and moved it to the Maple Leaf Tavern in Renton, Washington. In 1957, it was purchased by Howard Burr in Seattle's Greenlake neighborhood, and installed in his basement by Balcom and Vaughan for $2,060.00. The house was later owned by Brad Detering. In 1997, the organ was purchased by the Everett Theatre Society and installed in the Everett Theatre in Everett, Washington by largely volunteer efforts. -Database Manager
