Notes

2015-07-18 - This entry describes alterations and additions to an existing organ. Identified by James R. Stettner, using information found in 2004 Andover newsletter. -- According to the 2004 Newsletter from Andover, foam slider seals in the windchests were replaced with telescoping nylon slider seals. The console chassis was rebuilt with wood squares and backfalls to eliminate aluminum needle bearings. New nuts and punchings were installed in the action. Sliders were reshimmed and bungboards releathered. The pallets were recovered, and new pull-down wires and leather links installed. New voidless plywood was glued to the sponcil areas to eliminate leaks that had developed from shrinking and cracked tables due to heating. Three new stops were added to the Swell on a slider chest fired electrically. This required expanding the swellbox to the rear. One new stops was added to the Pedal division (which was always electric). A new stopkey assembly was installed in the console with a new solid state combination action. New stop action solonoids for the couplers were installed. A zimbelstern was added. All pipework was cleaned and repaired. Stoppers were releathered. Canistered pipes were repacked. -Database Manager
