The Clarion Mixture was something of a curiosity, one rank of it (now removed) actually
*was* a 4' Clarion! The remaining three ranks of this stop are flue pipes pitched at 17-19-22 breaking back to 8-12-15. The unique 4' Orchestral Tremolo is a Celeste of mild Principal tone.

Arthur James Weise, M. A. (1838-1921), entitled
Troy: One Hundred Years 1789 - 1889, published in Troy by William H.
Young, 1891. On pages 227-228 we learn that the Troy Savings Bank first
occupied the building on 24 March 1875. The Music Hall (second story of the
building) was dedicated on 19 April 1875 in a grand concert of vocal and
orchestral music conducted by Theodore Thomas. The organ - 42 feet wide and
30 feet tall - was placed in the hall in October 1890.
