2004-10-30 - From First Presbyterian, Los Angeles, CA, a used organ installed there in 1883, probably by S. C. Symonds [previously a pipemaker from Salem, MA]. 1883 Newspaper claims it was a Hook & Hastings. Some work by Fletcher & Harris at end of 19th cent. [This organ at one time was believed to be Murray Harris Op. 2 (c. 1900 for USC), which burned at USC in 1912.] -Database Manager

2008-01-12 - Updated through on-line information from Jim lewis. -- Organ possibly by E. & G. G. Hook. The late, un-lamented Virgil Martin removed the pipework, took about 1/2 of the sets with him and never returned them despite lawsuits, etc. The un-piped organ was eventually removed. -Database Manager
