Notes

2016-01-25 - "This instrument, completed in 1988, is unusual in design and location, and is said to be the first pipe organ built for a Cincinnati funeral home during the past 50 years. It is an encased unit organ placed as the focal point at the end of the large entrance hall, off which four chapels open. The building is in Egypto-Deco style, with an outside of gold-colored glass in the shape of a pyramid base. The organ case echos the shape of the building exterior, with polished mahagony and white lacquered panels. Swell shutters behind the front pipes are lacquered moss green to pick up colors in the building. All the pipes are under expression except for the 8' and 4' octaves of the polished tin Principal in the case and the 16' octave of the Bourdon behind the case. The organ is voiced gently on 65 mm of wind pressure and speaks easily through the great hall and into the chapels." (The American Organist, February 1990) -Database Manager
