Notes

2016-03-16 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by Scot Huntington, based on personal knowledge of the organ.

The organ is installed in reflective casework behind a wide pipe fence of Great and Pedal Principal basses, free-standing and arranged around the rose window in the rear gallery. The neo-gothic brick structure was built ca. 1868, and previously housed two organs installed in the front chancel area: Wm A. Johnson Op. 263, 1868 (2 manuals with a detached, reversed console); and a 46-register Geo. S. Hutchings, No. 145, 1885.

The organ was shipped from the factory January 8, 1965 and installed by Osiander, Jones, and Roderer. -Database Manager
