2016-06-12 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ. Identified by James R. Stettner, using information from this web site: http://www.fpclagrande.org/history.html. <br><br>The 'Church History' page of the parish website states, "After receiving 90 new members in a year, the Church appointed a building committee in 1921, dedicated a new sanctuary on the site of the original building in May 1924, and added a new pipe organ the following year." The 'Our Church' page of the website adds, "The first organ was dedicated March 6, 1925, purchased at a cost of $5500."<br><br>The organ was replaced with a new Bond instrument in 1991 which incorporates Kilgen pipes, the previous chimes and portions of the structural and wind systems of the Kilgen. -Database Manager
