Notes

2016-11-26 - Organ relocated without any change. Identified by James R. Stettner, based on personal knowledge of the organ.
This was the removal from the former church in 2015, complete cleaning and re-leathering, and re-installation in the new edifice. -Database Manager

2016-12-07 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner.
The organ is installed in a loft at the left end of the room. The configuration is exactly the same as in the former church excepting the Pedal 16' Principal exposed at center. These pipes had been mitred originally, and were straightened to be exposed. Pipes were washed and cleaned. Chests were releathered. The original shutter engines were replaced with Peterson engines. A new Syndyne relay and combination action were installed. Two couplers were added: Swell to Great Sub and Choir to Great Sub. The chimes were made playable from the pedals, and a few blank rocker tablets are present. The pistons complement was slightly augmented but only the Swell has divisional pistons. The others (Great, Choir, and Pedal) became Generals. -Database Manager

NOTES
The organ was originally built for the church's previous edifice, and was in-
stalled on the front wall of the Church. The Great was on the right side of
center with the Swell behind. The Pedal was on the left with the Choir behind.
The console was placed on the left side of the chancel with the organist facing
across the chancel - the congregation to the right. The original cost of the
organ was $60,000.00.

A plaque next to the Maas chimes control reads:

In Memory Of
VINCENT WILLIAMS NORTH
AND CREW OF B-28
February 18, 1943

The organ was refurbished by R.A. Colby, Inc. of Johnson City, TN. As installed,
the configuration is the same as the original installation excepting the Pedal
16' Principal in the center façade. These pipes were not previously visible in
the original installation, and had been mitred. They were straightened for the
new church. All pipework was cleaned and regulated. All windchests were re-
leathered. New Peterson electric shutter engines were installed, and a new
Syndyne solid state relay and combination action were installed. Three new
couplers were included, and the pistons complement was altered with an increase
in General pistons, but a loss of divisionals.
