Notes

2018-07-04 - This entry describes an original installation of a new pipe organ.
Identified by William Dunklin, citing information from this publication: a vintage postcard.
Per the church's website, this organ was installed in 1922 in a building constructed in 1888. Chimes were added following World War II. In 1956 a catastrophic fire destroyed the building and presumably the organ. A new building was constructed the following year.
This congregation is now known as St. John's United Church of Christ. It should not be confused with St John's Lutheran also in Holgate. -Database Manager
