2018-11-22 - The organ was originally built by Gress-Miles as II/14 for the Arlington Presbyterian Church in Arlington, Virginia. In 2005, the console was replaced with a digital instrument by Ahlborn-Galanti, the new console controlled the original Swell manual from the Choir manual, and the new Swell consisted entirely of digital voices. When Arlington Presbyterian sold their building in 2016, the organ was given to Calvary Presbyterian in Alexandra, Virginia. The organ was in storage for two years, then installed by Otto Pebworth with assistance from Richard Maryman. Ralph Spoettle assisted with the digital portion. In the current configuration, the Swell manual controls the pipes under expression and the Choir is now all digital. -Database Manager
