2007-05-30 - Updated through on-line information from David P. Rankin. -- This organ was saved from the dump in 1988 by Loren Dees of Ellsworth, Kansas. It was installed and completely restored by Mr. Dees in the third floor ballroom of his historic house in Ellsworth. In 2006, the organ was given to the Ellsworth County Historical Society and was removed by David Rankin, Ted Landon and a number of Ellsworth Volunteer firemen and placed in storage. It is now being re-assembled in the former grand hall of the masonic lodge, which is now part of the Ellsworth Antique Mall. Completion date is scheduled for the 140th birthday celebration of Ellsworth on the last weekend of September, 2007. -Database Manager
