Notes

2019-02-16 - This describes a rebuild of an existing organ.
Identified by James Welch, who has heard or played the organ.
This 2-manual, 4-rank G. Donald Harrison-era organ, built in 1940, was first installed in the Convent Chapel of the Sisters of Notre Dame in San Francisco, California, in 1941. In 1974, it was moved to the Notre Dame de Namur University Chapel in nearby Belmont, California. Schoenstein & Co. performed the original installation and has always maintained it. When the University put the organ up for sale in 2007, it was purchased by the Lees. Schoenstein & Co. again moved the instrument, installing it in its third home. The all-enclosed organ is in pristine condition, and wind is supplied by its original 1/3 HP Holtzer-Cabot blower motor. -Database Manager
