2022-09-28 - St. George's Church was opened in 1890 and the nave was extended in 1902. It is possible this instrument was replaced by an electro-pneumatic instrument in the mid-1920s when extensive interior renovations took place. A handwritten note in a copy of *A Descriptive Catalogue of Church Organs Manufactured by Edward Lye & Sons* (ca. 1910) indicates that this instrument was "moved to Beamsville." It is likely that the Lye Organ was moved at this time to St. Alban's Anglican Church, Beamsville, Ontario. St. George's Church was closed in 1995 and the building was sold to Hamilton Christian Fellowship. -Andrew Henderson
