Notes

2020-12-01 - The organ was delivered in 1929 to McConnell Erwin in Chattanooga, Tennessee - he was a blind organist who was the municipal organist for Chattanooga on the 4/76 1924 Austin at Soldiers and Sailors Municipal Auditorium. Around 1940, a Diapason rank was added to the organ and it was relocated to Brainerd Methodist Church in Chattanooga. It served there until the new 1000-seat sanctuary was completed in 1955, at which time a Baldwin Model 5 was installed in the new nave; it, in turn, was replaced by 4/68 Moller Op. 9982 in 1965. Op. 929 was sold in 1955 to Merrill Smith, Athens, Tennessee, where it remained until it was relocated to a private residence in Cleveland, Tennessee, ca. 2010. -Jeff Scofield

2024-09-24 - This entry represents the installation of a used organ in this, its 3rd home. -Jim Stettner
