2024-09-24 - This entry represents the installation of a use organ in this, it's 4th home. The organ was originally delivered in 1929 to the residence of McConnell Erwin in Chattanooga, Tennessee - he was a blind organist who was the municipal organist for Chattanooga on the 4/76 1924 Austin at Soldiers and Sailors Municipal Auditorium. Around 1940, a Diapason rank was added to the organ and it was relocated to Brainerd Methodist Church in Chattanooga. It served there until the new 1000-seat sanctuary was completed in 1955. Op. 929 was sold in 1955 to the Residence of Merrill Smith in Athens, Tennessee, where it remained until it was relocated to this private residence in Cleveland, Tennessee, ca. 2010. -Jim Stettner
