2022-01-19 - This instrument was evidently second-hand and replaced an ailing, ill-fated organ installed 3 years previously. The facade from that instrument, dating originally from 1848, was retained. According to Peter Snyder, organist of the church from 1951 to 1986, the organ was entirely enclosed in one swell box. The fate of this instrument is unknown, replaced by a new Keates organ in 1951. -Andrew E Henderson
2023-12-30 - From *The Standard* (St. Catharines, December 15, 1922): "The organ was built by the Warren and Son Company of Woodstock who are considered by authorities to be the best organ builders in Ontario. This instrument is a departure from the usual church organ as it is built on the unified system. This system permits the use of the stops on either of the two manuals. This attachment provides more scope for the organist, and is a means of making for far more tone and volume. This system of construction is used almost entirely in the construction of large theatre organs where it is necessary to secure great volume and tone." -Andrew Henderson
