Notes

2022-01-19 - According to a history of the organ produced by the church sometime after 1978, this organ was reportedly purchased from the Methodist Church in Hanover, Ontario, and installed in Fonthill without alteration in 1937. It is likely that this instrument had an extra octave of pipes to be engaged via super coupler. This instrument was rebuilt with electric action and additional ranks into a unified instrument by R. A. Denton & Sons in 1950 with further additions in 1966. The organ was again rebuilt with the addition of further ranks of pipes, new pistons/setterboard, and Maas-Rowe chimes by the Keates Organ Co. in 1978. When the church was extensively renovated in 1991, the organ was moved to a new organ chamber and extensively rebuilt by Dodington & Dodington, retaining the original 1876 Lye facade. -Andrew E Henderson
