2023-06-10 - This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified from the New York City Organ Project website. The building was built in 1850 for St. Peter's Protestant Episcopal Church, who only occupied the edifice for 7 years before moving to a new location. in 1857, it was acquired by Second United Presbyterian Church, for whom the Jardine was originally built. The Presbyterian congregation disbanded in 1945, and the building came into the possession of Union Baptist Church. When the Baptist congregation later moved to the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, the organ was apparently moved along. The 1850 Atlantic Avenue building is now home to the Belorussian Autocephalic Orthodox Church. -Jim Stettner
2023-06-10 - The organ appears to have been later rebuilt with a left-side case and facade added, and the Pedal compass increased to 30 notes. -Jim Stettner
