2023-07-03 - from Baltimore Sun June 12, 1851 Lengthy article about the consecration of St Timothy's Church. ...The windows are of richly stained glass from the factory of Mr. Gernhard and the organ, manufactured by Mr. H. Berger, of this city (Baltimore), though of rather small size, is capable of sufficient power for a choir of 30 voices, and has been greatly admired for its sweetnes of the soprano stops, the full, deep, harmonious bass, and delacacy of touch. ------------------------------------------ Later in the 19th century St Tims replaced the Berger with another new organ. possibly the Berger instrument went to Salem Lutheran (old building) where it is still in use. More research will be needed to prove this theory -Steven Bartley
