2023-09-11 - From *The Leader-Post* (Regina, SK, September 2, 1931): "Another Regina industry has come to light with the installation of a large organ in St. Anthony's Church, Atkinson Street and Fifteenth Avenue. The organ placed in the church, with the exception of the pipes, was completely made in Regina by Louis Atkin, 2060 Hamilton Street, with the assistance of Stanley Kohanski, who handled the financial arrangements, and one carpenter. It is said to be the second organ made west of Woodstock, Ontario. The first organ to be made west of that point was also the work of Mr. Atkin, who was formerly a Regina theatre organist. It is part of the equipment of the German Lutheran Church in the east end of the city. The organ in St. Anthony's Church took seven weeks to build and has a total of 300 pipes of all sizes. The woodwork is of walnut, while the inner instrument has a frontage of seven feet, a depth of 10 feet and is 20 feet high. The machine contains 10 stops, open diapason, eight feet; open melodia, four feet; gamba, eight feet; flute, eight feet; flute, four feet; piccolo, two feet; pedal bourdon, 16 feet; automatic stop for power in addition to the extra stops, violin and horn. Mr. Atkin has resided in Regina for the past eight years, seven of which he was organist in a Regina theatre, in addition to playing over Regina radio stations." -Andrew Henderson
