Notes
2023-11-25 - This entry represents the rebuilding (and electrification?) of an existing organ. St. Mary's acquired a used 1858 E. & G.G. Hook for the previous edifice in 1892 when it ceased being of service to St. Paul's Episcopal Church. It was installed by an unknown person or firm, and what - if any - tonal or mechanical changes were made is not known. The organ was again transplanted to the present edifice ca. 1909 by an unnamed builder. And again, whatever tonal or mechanical alterations occurred is not known. It is not infeasible that the electrification of the Hook took place at the time of the ca. 1909 transplant. -Jim Stettner
