2024-01-12 - From *The Daily Spectator* (August 7, 1874): "By advertisement it will be seen that on Tuesday next the Knox Church fine new organ will be on view to the public. This instrument is one of Warren's celebrated Montreal make, with 26 full stops running the entire length of the key-board. It has two banks of keys of two octaves, two notes at the pedal, making altogether an organ of superior tone." -Andrew Henderson
2024-01-15 - From *The Daily Spectator* (August 8, 1874): "The magnificent organ, so long expected, has at length been completed, and is now erected in Knox Church. Certainly it is one of the finest instruments in the city, we believe the best, and will be hard to excel either in power, purity of tone, or sweetness. It was built and placed in the church by Messrs. Warren & Co., the well and favorably known organ builders of Montreal, and they have no need to disown having built such an instrument. The case is finished in white and gold harmonizing exceedingly well with the building, and is a great ornament to the interior of the church. We would strongly recommend our readers to avail themselves of the opportunity afforded on next Tuesday evening of seeing and hearing it for themselves. On this occasion Professor Garrett, who has recently arrived from England, will preside, and we are satisfied that all will be delighted." -Andrew Henderson
