2025-04-20 - This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified through online information from Andrew Henderson (April 20, 2025): From *The Democrat & Chronicle* (February 17, 1921): "In the numbers played by Miss Wysard, organist of East Avenue Baptist Church, it was apparent that this new organ is well balanced, and adapted to the size of the auditorium in which is to be heard. One quality noticeable is that it is voiced for a church. Some of the new organs placed in churches to-day, the builders say, are constructed precisely the same way as they would be for a theater, but in this case the instrument is distinctly planned for sacred music and those other dignified compositions which seem in harmony with a religious service ... the organ is installed by the J. H. & C. S. Odell Company, of New York. The same firm put in the organ of the Brick Presbyterian Church. Floyd C. Lamb, an organist connected with the company, put finishing touches on the new instrument yesterday." -Andrew Henderson
