2005-05-03 - Information provided by John Panning, Dobson Pipe Organs, Ltd. -Database Manager

2007-07-09 - Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- Identified through information on both the builder's and the church's web sites: Six divisions: Great, Swell, Positive, Solo, Fanfare, and Pedal. Pedal has only three independent, unified registers: 32' Contra Bourdon, 16' Open Diapason, and 32' Contra Trombone - all else borrowed. Fanfare has three independent en-chamade registers playing as 5 speaking stops: 16'/8', 8', and 4'/8'. Sub and Super intra-manual couplers to Swell, Solo, and Positive, but no Unisons Off. Only unison couplers between divisions. Solo and Pedal divisions are on non-slider E-P action. Bass CCCC of Pedal 32' Principal shipped in two pieces, and joined on-site. The "case" is of cherry. Organ weighs 42 tons. 3 blowers providing 27 h.p. Wind pressures range from 5" to 20". Cathedral and organ blessed on Sat., May 3, 2003 at 5:30 p.m. Cardinal Roger Mahony, Archbishop of Los Angeles, presiding. Following a service of Evening Prayer, an organ recital was given by Cathedral Organist, Samuel S. Soria. -Database Manager
