2018-03-05 - This entry describes a new home for an organ that was relocated without either tonal or mechanical changes.
Identified by William Dunklin
On line sources indicate the New Gottland Lutheran congregation was formed in 1872 and moved into a new building in 1910. A postcard mailed in 1914 shows an organ which appears to be a circa 1880 Barckhoff standing at the front right, suggesting the congregation either had this organ in its previous building and moved it to the new building, or purchased the organ used. In 1923 the congregation replaced the Barckhoff with M.P. Moller organ opus 3113. Fate of the Barckhoff is unknown. As of 2018 the congregation remains in the 1910 building, the Moller case still stands in the location formerly occupied by the Barckhoff. See organ ID 43705 -Database Manager
