Notes

2024-08-13 - Identified through online information from Andrew Henderson (August 13, 2024): From the Democrat & Chronicle (Rochester, NY, May 28, 1898): “The trustees of the Presbyterian Church of Seneca Falls have empowered the organ committee to purchase a new pipe organ for the church. A contract has been entered into with the W. W. Kimball Co., of Chicago, to that effect, the organ to be set up and ready for use about the first of September.” And from November 5, 1898 edition of the same: “The new Presbyterian Church organ, built by Kimballs of Chicago, has arrived at Seneca Falls and is being placed in the church. Nearly three weeks will be required for getting the new organ in readiness for use. It is said that, with an exception, it is the largest and most complete organ in Central New York. Its cost is about $4,400.” -Andrew Henderson
