2014-08-08 - Updated through online information from Andrew Henderson. -- The organ replaced a 1909 Casavant Organ (rebuilt and enlarged by the Keates Organ Co. in 1949) that was lost in a massive fire in 1962. The organ is placed in side chambers with fixed, wooden louvred screens. The organ was designed by Dr. Charles Peaker, a former organist of the church, and Mr. Lewis Jones, organist of St. Paul Street Church from 1943 to 1970, and the dedicatory recital was played by Dr. Peaker on March 15, 1964. Information taken from the Dedicatory Program and personal knowledge of the organ/church. -Database Manager
